This set of 95 year old windows had started to show their age and were in need of care to prevent
further damage. Throughout the years, repairs and patches had been performed. None of these services
addressed the aging lead that was allowing the windows to bow and causing glass to break.
Knowing the value of these great works of art, the church allowed us to be the ones to perform the complete historical
restoration on the stained glass. This process included taking the stained glass apart and replacing all
the metal caming, replacing broken hand painted glass, thoroughly cleaning years of dirt off of each
piece of glass and adding an improved grid system of bracing.
The process performed not only enhanced the beauty of the windows, but structurally secured them for
future generations to enjoy. Viewing the before and after photos shows the dramatic change. You can also
see how the upgrades that were performed on the protective glaze system enhances the windows as well.
