Metal color options for Insulated Glass (IG) windows. We offer Zinc, Patina, and Brass
as the metal options for IG units. We do not offer lead, which is a gray pewter look, because
the lead and solder do not match in an IG unit. The other reason
we do not offer lead is because lead is heavier than zinc, and the weight of the panel in an IG unit
should weigh as little as possible to help keep the unit from failing. Zinc is also a much better
product when compared to lead (lighter, stronger, no lead content)!
