Five windows out of six were completely destroyed during Hurricane Rita in 2005. Any remaining remnants had been disposed of leaving no documentation of the original overall design. Using the last surviving panel and hundreds of wedding photos, Freebird Glass was able to design and reconstruct the overall set back to its original beauty. Upon completion, a new commercial protective glaze system was designed. Architectural components were accented using Solar Cool reflective glass to both protect the stained glass and to reduce heat transfer.
