About Freebird Glass Inc

Owner, Scott Eaton has been involved in many aspects of the stained glass industry since the age of 6

( It was called babysitting, not child labor back then )

Scott learned stained glass from his father, Michael Eaton in the early 70's , following in his footsteps at several studios .

By the age of 14 Scott had worked in small independent studios as an assembler and filled orders at a stained glass wholesaler in Houston

By the time Scott was a Sophomore in High School he had opened his first company " Sunset Glass" in a small town in Colorado.

He built commissioned windows for clients, participated in Art Shows and taught classes for a local stained glass studio.

During the summers he continued to work with his father as an assembler producing hundreds of windows.

After his father retired from stained glass in 1984

Scott opened Freebird Glass, specializing in servicing other studios in the Houston area, doing their repairs and installations.

By the early 90's Freebird Glass was performing services across the United States

Surrounded by a talented staff, Scott continues his quest to be a leader in the stained glass industry.

Still specializing in the service side of the industry, Freebird Glass has performed Historic Stained Glass Restorations coast to coast .

Including helping

Trinity Lutheran obtain a "Gold Brick Award"

for work on their Stained Glass Windows

Freebird's diversified skills at restoring are translated into the New Custom Design windows that we produce and have shipped across the US
